Assuming a 75 mm throttle body and mass air body is optimum for a 346 CI engine. The required area then for a 427 by ratio of the areas verses CI's would be an 83.3 mm. This does not compensate for the shaft/throttle plate loss of area.

The intake may not produce quite the improvements it's capable of until a larger mass air body and throttle body are used.

agree that 90mm tb needed for optimum performance, but these gains were posted today by SpeedInc on their 427 ci vette.

"-Baseline 510.8RWHP/495.4RWTQ
-After 78mm LSX intake 527.2RWHP/506.0RWTQ.
About 16.5RWHP and 10.6 RWTQ. THe pickup was across the board, not just peak."
