Default Pacesetter come with wires to extend o2 wires.

Well I just opened up my Pacesetter headers today and noticed instructions/wire to extend my stock o2 wires.

I did a good amount of research on pacesetters and no one ever made comments about the wires/instructions.

Im just wondering why people go out and buy the o2 extensions instead of just extending the harness them selfs.

i used the wires included to extend my o2 wires...but if you do ever have to replace the sensor you would have to splice the wires all over again...so i just ordered the extensions to make it a little easier if i do get a bad sensor but have no intention of using them unless i need to

I used some wire I had to splice into the stock wires to extend the O2's. It didn't take long and I had the wire so it was cheaper to me to do that.

That was Dave Carney's idea too - replace the 02s with a P/N
having a longer lead. I think that's a good idea (new 02s) for the 87K
mile car I'm going to throw the Pacesetters on (not the TA in sig).

Per the Helms and Bosch, you are not supposed to cut/splice the 02
wires, as the 02 cell obtains an outside air reference via one of
the wires. If you cut/crimp/solder, you could be blocking the
reference air - and causing your car to run like crap.
