Question Hp gains w/Mezeire Electric Water Pump?

Has anybody dynoed their car and see any real gains with the Meziere? When the pumps were first released there was plenty of talk about them, but all the talk has died down to nothing now.

It was also funny how vendors said it would gain 10-12 rwhp, and then it became 6-8rwhp, and now it seems to be 0-5rwhp.

Now the Meziere cools down the motor awesome, but I didn't see any hp gains with it and I know MMT dynoed 6 cars and saw zero hp gains with it.

And now the prices are at $570 for a product that's not really worth it.

Sorry but I find that hard to believe. We dynoed way more then that and we've never seen 0. On average they usually gain about 6-8rwhp. Remember you are not just paying for horsepower with an electric pump.

I didn't gain anything with it, but I do have both asp pullies(crank and alternator).

Paul, did the cars you tested have an asp pulley?

Yes every car we did the initial testing on had at least the ASP crank pulley on.

I've seen a few graphs from various places that dyno'd one and I've *never* seen one gain zero. One local guy here gained 12-15(cant remember).

Next week I'm going to dyno with my current setup, and then put the stock water pump back on and I'll see what happens.

The gain from the Meziere is mechanical so it won't need tuning or the right a/f to show gains.

I think since the Meziere uses the pulley belts to drive the fan in the water pump to keep the electric motor cool it negates any kind of real hp gains.

And advancing the timing with the cooler temps doesn't count.

Question

I talked to MMT today about the Meziere and they said they have only seen 1-2rwhp gains back-to-back with the Meziere on several cars.

It not only gains horsepower but its also a better water pump than the stock one. Id do a before and after dyno on my car but my numbers would be skewd considering it currently makes 0 HP and 0 TQ.
