sigh... guess what I broke.

1 Coolant lines
2 an injector
3 OPSU

???

All three of them LOL

dont know about the injector, number 7 came loose and was moving before I actually popped it out. so im iffy on that.

so now I went ahead and ordered a LS6 valley cover, opsu, and I'm gonna wait till one of my club members check my injector out. Maybe I'll mod something on the intake, to avoid the OPSU for ever!

ya once you have the intake loose you need to lift up on the back, while you pull it forward so the brake booster line goes over the top of the intake. to late now but for the future. how did you break the coolant lines and what makes you say that the injector is damaged??

well the coolant line that goes into the throttle body just slit in half when I pried it out. and the injector was spinning freely when I was diconnecting the plug on it. is that normal? I wanna make sure its ok because its hard to get to.

Theres also a small vac line that was cut, but I think that line used to go to the Air pump solenoid so ill just connect the other that comes from the passenger side of the engine.

i didnt the TB coolant bypass so you dont have to worry about that hose that was cut. it sounds like the injector is fine, you can spin it when the fuel rail is still holding the injector in the manifold. i forgot to say if your going to do the ls6 pcv upgrade your going to have to modify the valley to accomidate the pcv breather.

I got to cut a piece off right? I rather update the pcv system, because my intake ports were full of deposits. I got to do Heads and cam ASAP now. I've already ordered the valley cover off GM parts for 70 bucks, with the hose, and some valve covers too, the total came to be half of what thunder racing his asking for their package.

yes you have to notch a part of the block, i can find you a link to help you out on that. this is the pcv kit i purchasedhttp://www.thunderracing.com/shop-by/category/Cylinder-Heads-and-Valvetrain/PCV-System/Thunder-Racing-LS6-PCV-Conversion-Kit_613.html it came with the additional plugs so you can cap off the rear ports on both ls1 valve covers. i would run a bottle of fuel injector cleaner every oil change to help clean up you intake runners and valves.

Thanks bro, but I already ordered the valley cover on gmpartsdierct, I ordered the new ls6 valley cover with the air/oil separator so I wont be needing to run a PCV valve but I'm still gonna just in case

And Yeah, I used to run lucas Fuel injector treatment during every fill up, but apparently it doesn't help for chet! I would seafoam but I really dont like resorting to that route....

I did the same while installing my LS6 Intake last Fall. (I also added a RevXteme Catchcan at the same time.)

Using the LS6 Valley Cover is nice because it allows you to remove the factory PCV tubing running down the passenger side head. I then used that area to route a coolant line from the rear crossover tubing and "T" it into the front, near the Throttle Body.

No grinding fins and an upgraded PCV System.

I can see why removing the fins is popular, though. Its simple and allows you to retain coolant flow to the passages near the rear cylinders. Both a very good thing.

This is the writeup I used as well.

Its a little nerve-racking knowing you have to cut into your block to make room for the LS6 Valley Cover, but besides that, its not difficult. The writeup does a great job guiding you through it.

Good luck.

just letting ya know, what valve covers did you have?? ya i still run a pcv valve in front of the oil seperator, i would recommend the chevron cleaner,it is the same that is offered at the dealership(GM) just bottled different. i get the 20oz bottle instead of the 12oz but here is a link. when i did my intake my intake runners were imaculate but i only have 35k miles on my car.

the ls6 pcv definately cleans up the engine compartment. i have a straight and 90 degree ingersol cordless grinders so it made clearancing fast. just make sure when you do it that you take your time and make sure the valley is covered up and surrounding areas so no debris gets in your engine.

I have the stock valve covers, I'm going to take them of and clean them so I can paint them. And for the write up I read it night and day!

I plan to use a magnet on top of the towells so it can help catch some devry. And ill be using a high-speed die cutter
