Default What mods to do now??

I don't know much about modding a LS1 so I'm not sure what actually works and what is a waste of money. So, I would like your input on that and which ones I should get first. I already have a SLP loudmouth exhaust on it.

Volant Cold Air intake, the dual ones with no lid, I'm not concerned about getting water in it since I don't drive in the rain. Or is SLP's stuff better? Heck I may get one of those clear lids.

Professional Products 96mm intake manifold

Professional Products 85mm throttle body

SLP High Flow MAF Sensor (they said to not remove the screen for street cars, anyone want to tell me why?

So which ones is not worth it and which ones should I get first? Is there anything else I'm missing that I can bolt onto my LS1?

It's a 99 T/A A4 if it makes any difference.

what is your budget? first thing should be a stall, then tires

do not get an aftermarket MAF sensor, do not get aftermarket coil packs

stall is the best bang for buck you can do to an automatic car...it feels like picking up 50hp down low and makes it more fun to drive and helps eliminate dead spots in highway runs where it won't/shouldn't downshift

next on the list, but you could do this whole list and it would feel about as big of a change as the stall/tires:

ls6 intake manifold 8-15rwhp, or something like a BBK if you can get it cheaper used
long tube headers 10-15 rwhp untuned, 20-30 tuned
intake lid ~10rwhp
underdrive pulley 5-8rwhp
ported stock tb

you'll see a lot more pep out of a stall then you would the bolt ons you mentioned. it's a highly recommended first mod to an A4. it's next on my list after my suspension is done.

Sounds like a plan, I was actually looking at the SLP under drive pulley, is it hard to install?

I guess I may do the stall after all, which stall should I get?? It wouldn't kill my highway driving right?

Also, which lid should I get? Or should I get an entire cold air intake set up? If so, which?

you want something like a Vigilante 3200 or a Yank SS3600, circle D should also have a good similar offering

your highway mileage will stay the same because the converter locks up like stock above 45-50mph, in town won't even drop much if you are light on the throttle

Get a SLP lid if you don't have one. Stall would be great, gears, or LT's and Y pipe. I have a Borla catback and a cutout, the next thing I get will be a SLP lid, and then LT's and Y-pipe. There is a lot of info on this site about every bolt on imaginable.

They say not to remove the screen because it stops debris

I had a ton of crap on the stock screen when I bought my car

Some people do have a hard time with the slp pulley's I eventually might get it but dont know if the 5-8 hp is worth $250+

Get a diverter or cutout with an electric valve -- then you have adjustability from the cockpit. ;-) Big fun factor.
