Default Anybody else have this issue with TSP's new Y-Pipe??

So I got the LT's installed, poly mounts installed, new plugs/wires installed. I started on the Y-Pipe (New TSP ORY Model) and Everything started out fine, looked good, tucked nice, didn't hit anything, etc... Then I went to put the merge on and the pipe coming out of the passenger side header is like 3" short. It doesn't even meet the merge, much less seat inside of it like it's suppose to.

I tried messing with all the joints, pulling them out, pushing them in further, and nothing helps, it only get's worse. This is the closest I can get it. It's like everything would line up PERFECT and fit PERFECT if it was only about 3" longer... I dunno...

Yeah, that was a tube that was accidentally bent as the RH tube. It was simply cut short.

I'm sure TSP would be more than glad to ship one out to you. They are good with customer service.

Good luck.

Not trying to hijack, but is it better to go with the TSP or pacesetter Y-pipe?

I had the same issue with mine. Called them up and spoke to John and he acted as if there as if there was no way their Y-Pipe could have fitment issues. He told me to send it back (which would have put me in a bind and had my car down for another week week and a half) so I said f it and had a local exhaust shop fab me up something to make it fit. I honestly wish I would had gone with the Pacesetter Y-Pipe.

Alright, I"ll give them a call in the morning.

LS1WS6dreamer, at this point I'll say you'd be better off with TSP's new pipe, but we'll see how this situation works out...

But the craftsmanship looks really nice. Fitment is nice everywhere else, tucks nice to the body, like said above, it really does just look like the pipe was cut short. If it was 3" longer, like I said, this would be one of the best fitting Y-Pipes I've had, unfortunately right now, it doesn't work. Lastly, the merge is fantastic. Much better than the pacesetter merge...

What's the difference with the "new" design? I had a TSP on my SS and it fit pretty well, but that wasn't the "new" design. The merge in your picture looks good, but the one on their website looks horrible.

Merge is the big difference. Apparently fitment is better too, but I can't comment on that at the moment because I never tried the original TSP Y, and their "New" one isn't working out so well at the moment.

Two pipes in that second pic. One coming off the collector and then one entering the bend. You can see the slip joint, where the pipe expands, about midway down.

I kind of had the same problem, but kept messing with it until it fit. Took a little while. Sounds much better then the old pacesetter Ypipe I had.

me and my dad did mine saturday night and we were running into the same problem but we just screwed around with it for awhile and finally got it to go in. But now my driver side hangs down a bit and Im sick and tired of laying under the car so im going to take it to work and adjust it some more on a lift.

Just to update. TSP took the ORY back no problem. I ended up going with the TSP duals/Sweet Thunders instead.

They were very easy to work with. No problems.

TSP Has GREAT customer service! Its not always about the price or sale, its about how they deal with issues, and from what ive seen, im more than happy to have TSP cams in both of our cars!!
