SSRA installed/pics inside Guys, this is my first time posting pictures so bare with me. I think I did a decent job on the install & hope I've maximized the ability of the SSRA by totally opening up the air box. Take a look, Fred
Looks good man. Are there any problems with the fitment of the filter minus the center section of the air box? I wanted to do that to mine, just wasn't sure if its a good idea. Those air box clamps break easy, huh? I have like 10 of those things laying around just in case.

where did you get that? How many hp's do you gain from it.
That's one of the places you can pick it up at. You wont see a gain on the dyno with it because your not moving. But you'll defintely feel a sotp when moving, especially the faster you go.

Guys removing the center piece of the air box has no ill effects on how the air filter fits in the airbox. The filter sets on upper edge of the airbox. Removing the center restrictive plastic piece will only allow better air flow & is much a better mod in my opinion than the smooth bellow.
The missing clip on the airbox will be replaced tonight. When I bought the car it was missing. I called the local GM dealership and they have replacements for $2.52 a piece. I can't wait to see if this mod gives me an approvement in mph at the track.

i also cut that center section out when i did the FRA mod with no problems. K&N still doesnt fit right though 
. i think i might invest in one of those ram air setups but i like the fact that i dont have to worry about hydrolock with the fra setup, and i know im too lazy to put a blockoff plate in everytime it rains.

anyone have a pic of the SSRA or FTRA with the water block off plate? Im interested in doing this but I wanna make sure i can keep my motor safe from the elements when at all possible.
