I know guys running 700 & 800 hp street driven cars with a MAF but they have no idea what they r doing. For the money that you invest into an UD there are better ways of spending money for future mod upgrades. I had an UD I got rid of it and I saw no loss in hp, drive ability and or performance, my car ran better did not run as hot and I had no issues at all with out it.

But Ill keep in mind that MAF comment.
BWAAHAAAHAHHAHAH Your a TOOL.. "I know people running 700-800 horsepower daily drivers wiith a MAF" LOL

Bro, do your research. Most of us have been tuning, reading, modifiying all the parts of the ls1/ls6 since the ls1 came out!

No one who knows anything about these cars do the MAF mod like a Granatelli or whatnot. It usually messes up the tuning capabilities. Some people do the free mod and descreen the MAF but down south people are nervous of a june Bug being sucked up. In New York we dont have it. But is it worth the risk to mess up my tune and make my car run less reliable because of my search of 5-10 horsepower more?

The underdrive pulley (or for your happiness, the Harmonic Balancer) is a great modification especiallyif you are already performning a new cam install. You are right there, and for the 7-15 horse (depending on who you are talking too)its worth it. The engine temps rising because you are using a smaller pulley/dampner is irrelivant. If you are doing a cam install and decide to put the balancer on now, you need a tune anyways. SO you bring it to the tuner (or you tune it yourself)and let them turn your fans on earlier and you are good to go.

So stop telling people things are a waste of time if you really have no clue.

Yes, I said the MAF was a waste of time because most who do it hate it and go back to stock.

The places I checked sell the TCI for $196. We sell the powerbond WITH both new belts and a new crank bolt, all of which are necessary, for $199. You might be able to find the TCI cheaper than I did, but don't forget to add in the price of belts and bolt and I don't think you'll beat our price

I bought my car used and it has a under drive pulley on it and a small cam at red lights my volts drop down real low is this normal? Going down the road volts come right back up.

What is the difference in the one that 209 and the one that is $199. One says balancer, one says "pulley kit". I know the pulley kit is a kit. Just wondering if there was a difference. I don't need the belt. I will require a different length that stock. (Having to relocate alternator and tensioner). Since I don't need the belt is it a little cheaper? PM me if you need to.

I see the Powerbond 25% underdrive damper pulley at SDPC that is SFI approved for the $209.95. The kit with the belts and bolts do not mention SFI approval for $199.99. I'm assuming that is the main difference?

It is the same balancer. The only difference is that one is in an inexpensive kit and one is a balancer at regular price.

I've been running a 25% UD pulley for over 200,000 miles on a heads/cam and all the bolt ons car. No overheating issues or low charging from the alternator. Mine is a SLP pulley that I bought 8 or 9 years ago. Probably picks up your car about 5-6 HP. Nothing you can feel with your butt dyno. The stock MAF will work just fine. After market MAFs will phuch up your tuneability...(is that a word)..
