Well when the tracks 100 degrees that might be a little of it too, I don't even know the guy with the gto just saying.

I only picked up 1 mph and .1 off the end with those mods, might really need to be tuned or something. The zr1's might take away too because my 60 ft's are the same and I know they weigh probably around twice as much as the aluminum snow flake wheels.

[QUOTE=86zcamaro;13704620]Well when the tracks 100 degrees that might be a little of it too.

My car ran 13.09s at coastal plains in 94 degrees and 90% humidity, is your car an A4 or M6?

With the right chassis set up and basic bolt-on's 11.7-11.9 is achievable. One friend of mine broke into 11's with headers running through the stock cat-back, a Yank 3600, 2.73's and some chassis tuning.

Its an A4, wish it was a 6 speed even though for racing the auto's are most always more consistant.

I plan on trying to get a 6 speed ta in the future for a daily driver, sort of still want a cobalt ss with the turbo too was kind of fun when I test drove it.

If these cars are really supposed to always be that quick id like to know what could be holding mine back, I did plugs, wires and fuel filter, changed the rear end fluid. Unless its the trans I have no clue why its not running like others.

I run at kcir which used to be a horrible track, was as uneven as possible first couple times I ran down it but they have repaved it in the last year or so.

@ 86Zcamaro:

I think your launch is where you're losing ET, my car ran bone stock with shitty 235 firestones on the rear and still nailed 13.7's with the proper launch, the first pass i ever made in it was a 14.1 at 101

It was, especially since there were a few guys with some nice 'vettes that couldn't hang. He had smart chassis tuning and some decent tires, plus the air was right.

Ive never gotten better than 2.2x, whats the proper way to launch then without a stall then? I tried braking with my left foot once raising the rpm some, really hate that after driving a manual really.

I got the pro kit with bilstein slp shocks that are going on, next year will probably get a short block for the dart pro's. It should launch pretty decent with the 3600 stall im going to get with the trans.

although a4's are kinder on the 10 bolt than the 6 speeds dont get lulled into a false sense of security cause they will still break if you look at them the wrong way.

Thanks, thats all I was trying to say. To break 11s you have to be able to launch hard unless your car is making serious power. So launching that hard on a stock 10bolt will not always hold up. Thats all I was trying to tell the guy...

This is true. Iv had 3 ls1 camaros and my first one I ripped the rear right off from a dead stop. Driveshaft broke it was a mess. This was my 99 and it was bone stock. Just after I had the tranny rebuilt as a matter of fact lol

This guy wants to break 11s. So with no internals he is going to have to come out hard so i was just letting him know its a risk that i already been through.
