Default Electric Fan temp switch.

Can someone please inform on the water temp on which a 2001 ls1 Camaro SS will the fans turn on? thanks

Both fans low speed on 226, off 217. Both fans high on 233, off 226. Numbers are stock PCM setting for a 2K. If you need the exact '01 numbers I can look them up in my helms.

Thank you exactly what I needed to know. I doubt the 01 would be different, but I you want to find out then relay that info to me it would be greatly appreciated.

Looked it up, pretty close. Low speed on 226, high speed on 234. Also depends on if the AC is called for of course, according to ambient temps/pressures. Also at key off if the temp is 284 or above, fans will continue runing for a couple minutes - overheating.

Thanks, Reason I was asking is because I swap an 2001 Ls1 into my 73 Vette and I ran the motor yesterday for 10 minutes or so but the fans did not turn on so maybe it did not get that hot just idling.
