Default Just installed Borla XR-1 into loudmouth....

I am officially a member of the Borlamouth club and all I have to say is wow.....I was looking for an old school big block sound and this is the closest I have found yet.....Definitely do it if you have a loudmouth....

Bad35th-
Hows the interior drone now? How much did it quiet the LM down alltogether? I love loud, but the drone gets to me sometimes. Get soundclips if you can. Is it part #157-40085?

Hi, I have the same setup with a stock exhaust. It does sound good under full-throttle or winding through the gears, but it's also still very annoying. Drone, resonance and noise levels still suck. I wouldn't do it again - not worth the money or effort. Someday, I'll have a nice true dual setup put in.....

do you honestly thing you are not going to get any drone or interior resonance with a true dual set up? unless you run it completely out the back, you are going to hate it. a friend of mine has longtubes w/ true duals and Flowmasters dumped before the rearend. inside his car, it makes my FLP w/ ORY and loudmouth sound stock.

The drone is not bad at all I dont think, not compared to my Maganflow I switched for....The sound is incredilby deep and I am really happy.....The part # was 40085.....I will get sound clips when I am able to have my buddy do it since I have no way to do it now....thanks

If your going to do true duals dont go the cheap route pay the extra money and have them go over the axle and out the back.

I'm assuming you replaced the LM resonator in the I-pipe with the XR-1...How's the clearance? Are these "bullet" style mufflers with no restrictions or is there a traditional muffler-like core? I'm looking for something to put in the I-pipe of my setup to keep it reasonable. I'm going with Kooks LTs/ORY through the GMMG...I'm currently running SLP LT's/Cats through the GMMG, which is decently loud. I want to avoid being obnoxious and try to kill as much rasp as possible when I remove the cats. I'd like to stay with stainless construction...

There is no rasp with set-up...the clearence is very close but works well....I am very pleased.....I wished I would have known the muffler was only 110.00 from Borla...ohh well....
