LS engines use a separate belt for the A/C you don't have to worry about a new belt. Keep in mind though your defogger/defroster may suck if you need to use it since the A/C is what removes the moisture from the air thats being blown.

I dunno, IMO unless your AC doesn't work anyway, removing it is like the worst mod ever.

You'll have to pry my AC from my cold, dead hands.

Please dont delete the A/C unless you are making a full out race car OR live in the northern states and NEVER plan to sell it. It really hurts the resale, I know I personally would never buy a car with A/C delete

its pretty easy man there are just a few hidden bolts and ****, it took me like 3 hours to get it out. its nice man when you pop your hood and not see a huge *** box with some coolant and **** there. but just make sure you dont start yanking on the dash it'll come when its ready just make sure you have all the bolts off

Hell, I live in a norther state and would still never buy a car without AC. It's been so damn hot this summer I've used it just about every day since June. T-tops have been off much less, I much prefer cold AC to baking in the sun.

You will need some PCM tuning too unless you like the SES to always be on.

I took mine off a long time ago and I never got any lights. And yes it will hurt resale, so if you plan on selling it in the near future don't take it off.

Off the top of my head I know it's at least these (Google them if you think I'm just fishing for work ) :
p0530
p0645
p1539
p1546

DTC's differ by year, model, and OEM equipment. Some years may set the SES light and on some years the codes may set and not trigger the light (but they can be seen during scanning as active faults).

Now that you list them I do think I remember seeing a couple of those codes when I used my HP tuner for the first time. It's been 5 years since I've seen the A/C. My year must not set off the SES light.

Having no ac makes no difference to me. I only drive the car if I can roll the windows down. What fun is it driving around with the ac on and windows up? Mine isn't a daily driver tho.

I have used mine maybe once this year for a long *** drive across the state. I still wont remove it. It's a street car that is my dd/cruise car in the Summer. I like pulling into the track with a full weight street car on 18's are pulling some great times then driving it home with a/c and good mpg. That it me is harder to pull off them stripping a car down and making it a drag car that only runs a little quicker. Now if I only had tires...
