so i was wondering is there a place that you could take your block and have it dipped in acid to clean it out?

i dont think acid would be good for any kind of aluminum. but you could have it hot tanked at a machine shop.

yea thats what i meant, im just curious because my car already is reaching 90,000 and i wanted the whole block cleaned up nice inside and out before i start messing with the internal mods

i found that aluminum wheel cleaner does a great job of making the block look new.....just dont get it on anything other than the block

im talkin like cleaning the block inside and out like taking it to a machine shop...

I could be waayyyy of base here, so correct me if I'm wrong. But, wouldn't seafoaming the internal and hand cleaning the external be a lot easier than taking the motor out and getting it cleaned??

i have considered seafoam but heard more bad then i did good about it, plus when i would do this i would be installing new heads and cam so it would be easier to have the motor out.
