Dumped borla
I kinda like how my BORLA adj catback sounds & I REALLY LIKE how nicely its tucked to the body, but I've never really liked the way exhaust tips look on camaros. (w/o some sort of valance)
So I'm finally gonna so somthing about my tips.
I've thought about doing this for a long time already...
I'll be taking off the passenger's side exhaust tailpipe where the adjustable plates can be switched (exhaust flange) & bolt on 1 of the new polished SS (stainless steel) exhaust dumped tips. (able to rotate 360*).
The driver's side tailpipe will require some fabrication.
- 1st, the tailpipe will have to be cut evenly to match the other side
- 2nd, a 3 hole 3" exhaust flange will have to be welded to "nub" coming out of the muffler so that it mirrors the other side
- 3rd, anther exhaust flange will have to be welded to the BORLA tailpipe
---this gives me the option of putting back on the stock BORLA tailpipe if I chose to
- 4th, bolt on the other polished SS exhaust dumped tip
The required parts should be shipped out today.

finally some1 brought this up. i have a question about this catback. first of all do you have a sound clip with LTs and ory with this catback? isnt it gna be insanly loud bcoz of the unmufflered tailpipe? will this pipe show gains or just for sound? thanks and sorry for the unrelated questions and honestly i never liked borla tips on camaros as well, but am unsure how this is gna look like. post some pics when your done.

I think it will sound like crap. Our mufflers are so far back as it is we need the extra piping to smooth the tone out. That is why Mustangs can usually sound better than us (CME's help alot though)...
At least just remove the pipe/tips BEFORE you spend the money on the new tips and labor and see if you like the sound. It is basically going to sound like a truck...
