Default Fast 102 too big for a 383?

Well I can only find dyno results from the 102 on bigger strokers...

I recently sold my LS6 manifold setup to go bigger, one of my friends is selling his FAST 90/90 setup to go turbo and has asked me if I am interested.

I had my mind set on going with the 102 but would that be too much intake for my 383? And if so, would it be worth spending the extra $...

I have a 240/252 .620"/.629" 113+4 FMS Custom Cam
PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 heads from Texas Speed

Edit: Got the 102, have questions now, see new posts. Thanks!

To big? No.

For me it'd depend on how good the 90/90 deal is vs having to get everything for the 102 and if cost is a big factor.

The 90/90 will net you a decent gain and will still be a decent resale in the future.

$700 for the FAST 90/90, I would still need rails and injectors.

well, retail you are looking at about 1200 for the 102 and fuel rails, another 4 or 5 hundred for the TB, + cost of injectors, a larger MAF and lid possibly. All and all you start getting perioulsly close to that 2500+ mark if not over 3k.

I'm a budget hero so I'd lean more toward the 90/90 myself.

I would get the 90/90 just on account of the simplicity.

Plenty of places offer the fast 102 for $800 shipped. I run it on a bone stock ls2. I'm all bolt ons and run 11.90 @ 114. When I did the 102 I did a nw 102 tb and 100mm maf and 4" custom intake. Too much? Hell no. I picked mine up from hinson super cars but a few other places have it for $800 shipped also.

102 isnt to much for your setup. Depending on the deal you have and how much you can get it for would be the determining factor. If it costs to much just get the 90/90. That is a good deal on the 90/90 and would still work good. Compare prices and get which one suits you better. If you dont get the 90/90 let your friend know im interested in buying

Goodluck on your choice!

Well I got the 102 FINALLY.

Now this is where I am a little confused, but I might actually know what I need...

FAST Billet Rails and Fuel Line kit to hook up to my stock feed line
LS2(EV6) Injectors, I am looking at Byunspeeds site at the 50# FAST Injectors
FAST EV1-EV6 wire adapters

If I go with an LS1 injector, I would need to buy the spacer/mounting kit right? So its about the same as spending the money for the wire adapters/LS2 Injectors.

What would be the better way to go here?

Also, I am leaning towards going straight from the FTP 104mm lid to the 102 LSXR, anyone make a coupler/bellows? I dont wanna get another Fernco lol.

The 102 is an LS2 based intake. That being said, you're better off getting an LS2 fuel rail and then you can run either LS1 injectors (which are taller than LS2 injectors) with spacers or LS2 style (which are shorter than LS1 style injectors) with no spacers, but need harness adapters.

I actually have 2 102's at the moment and have both set ups. The LS2 style set up is WAY better IMHO.

I'm actually leaning towards the FTP 104 lid, but are there better alternatives yet? And I do believe you gotta run a 4" FERNCO. What MAF are you running? TSP? I've got a Calloway and it looks and works GREAT!

I installed a 102 on my car this year, and it was kinda of a PITA. I ordered thefast billet fuel rail kit that is supposed to make it a bolt on install with LS1 style injectors. Well that didnt work, the brackets in the kit were not the right orientation.

I ended up making my own spacers out of stainless tubing and using 90' brackets that come in the LS2 rail kit. I ordered everything thing from Speedinc, and they were trying to get info from FAST on why the brackets didint work, and I think fast was kinda blowing them off. Im not sure, so I can blame anyone 100%. But I made it work nontheless and I love the intake. My only gripes are the grinding I had to do on the water pump, and the map sensor is just about up against the firewall. Probably bumps it under hard acceleration.

I bought a intake hose from a website that if you google intake hoses its the first one that comes up. Great site has all sizes, lengths, different bends, different materials etc. I used just the rubber ones for flexibility reasons, but you can get silicone reinforced ones too.

I don't think I'm gonna run a MAF on this setup, I am leaning towards going Speed Density. Thanks for the info, LS2 setup seems to be the way to go.

As far as i know Mike that is the only lid that will work with that MAF. TSP had a 100mm lid at some point, but I cant find anything saying that they still make it

But the FAST 90/92 uses the LS1/6 style injectors?
