depends on what kind of emissions you have . OBDII you'll be fine, just make sure your not throwing up any codes. forget it if you have to pass the sniffer.

Well, how do you get past throwing up codes with gutted cats or off road pipes?

Im pretty sure they test here in GA OBDII.

O2 simms, or edit to turn off the codes.

In ga they just plug in, and check for readiness codes and no SES light being on.

No roller dyno in georgia.

You know that gutted cats are worse than a straight pipe, turbulence in the exhaust sucks.

some dude was selling a dual o2 simms system on ebay or something for the ls1. It would do the trick if you can't afford an edit tune yet.

p.s. one place in roswell off northride/400 charges $15 per emissions instead of $25.

The cost of georgia emissions is $7 to the agent running them last time i checked. So if you know someone who runs a emissions shop you can save a few bucks. $7 versus $25, if not ante up the $15 in roswell..
p.p.s. Some shops are too lazy (but required by law )to look for cats. Some shops will $$ not look, some will look. You will fail for no cats if they look.

You gotta hang out with some of the "southern" boys to find out where to go if you truly dont have cats. I just did an emissions (roller dyno) on my vw. The dude at the lube place DID NOT even look for cats. The car failed. Lol. But we got it to pass. The car did have cats, lol.

For 96 and up cars/light trucks Ga. has NO visual inspection at this time, a OBDII scan is performed, 96-99 cars can have 2 not ready's and pass with no codes present, 00-01 can only have 1 not ready and pass with no codes present(dont try to clear your codes right before the test, wont work) visual for cats might return, just went through my annual 2 year up date for ET's and they are on to sims LOL. If you have edit no problem, you can delete and set to ready whatever codes that might cause you a problem, Predator cannot do this without a custom tune/download from them. By the way I have done over 20000 Et's the last 6 years.

Just for giggles I ran a simulated ASM 25/25-50/15 dyno test with my 02 (see sig) and passed for the last standards available for ASM testing for a 95 LT1 Z28.
