I have had two f-bodies - and installed the Magnaflow on both.

1.) Sounds great. Usually takes a few miles to break in.

2.) Install was a breeze and fit well

3.) Noticeable power gain / flow.

its one of teh best sounding, and best flowing for an F-body...
cant really beat it...
only complaint is that sometimes I wish it was louder... but I gotta say.. being able to hammer on the throttle and not draw the cops is a big plus sometimes...

One of the best shops in NC recommends Magnaflow heavily. They said they make great dyno-verified power and stainless is a plus; I just hate how they sound, lol.

I loved it on my LT1 but there are no LS1 cars around here for me to make a decision.

My wife's car went from Cammed with L/Ts, Hi flows and an LM1, to a Magnaflow catback and couldnt be any happier. Sure, it is quiet, but once you get on it, i think it sounds great. No more rasp or drone inside the car. its SO much nicer on long trips.

^Lol I know a guy that used to hate cut-outs until he got his Magnaflow. He was disappointed too. He had to have an exhaust shop hack-and-weld his brand-new Magnaflow to make it fit.

Mine squeaked from the rubber bushing in the hanger moving out of the hanger allowing metal on metal.... I took a screwdriver and pushed the bushing back in the hangover and fixed that problem. I think it would happen on any catback since it was the stock hanger.

Now I must say I love my magnaflow catback!!! It fits decent, I won't say perfect, but I got my tips to line up good. I think it's not that quiet, if I start my car to warm it up and go back inside the house I can hear it running. It gets louder above 2K. I love it!

I have the magnaflow, it's a love/hate thing for sure.

I had mine welded all up, so the fitment is fine, I also had a cut out installed into aswell.

Does anyone know what if any mufflers are a direct swap with the magnaflow muffler??? Like hooker?

Not gonna lie I do want an E-cutout, but mostly because when I'm on the thruway i only drop it down to 5th gear to slowly pass people, and even at 2k its not too loud, I don't feel like flooring the car or down shifting alot, just sometimes want it a little louder without driving fast.

I went from stock to headers/ ORY, and Magnaflow exhaust. I had it installed, so can’t really comment on fitment. It seems ok. The connections do squeak a bit on the highway; but not enough to be that annoying. It seems to flow pretty well.

It is one of the quieter exhausts when you are idling or under light acceleration. People do notice it when you stomp the gas though. It has a pretty nice musclecar type low rumble to it.

The positives of the a quiter exhaust are: 1) Cops don’t give you a second look; even if they are next to you or behind you. 2) It doesn’t give away what you might have under the hood (until you hit the gas).

I believe there is a Hooker Aerochamber muffler that is a direct replacement (or at least close, might require some minor fabrication) but I wouldn't bother. The difference in sound is minimal. I know this is a sin to say but I have considered a Flowmaster muffler (GASP!) to replace my Magnaflow, as I find the sound is much better despite the poor flow, although my cutout makes that irrelevant. I will probably just keep the Magnaflow unless I eventually go with true duals.

I'd rather have a Hooker ALL DAY over the Magnaflow. Hell, I'd rather have the stock dual/dual over the Magnaflow. When I got my car it had a Flowmaster welded in and it sounded OK, it just flowed like doo-doo.

I have had hooker and magnaflow and in my opinion the hooker sounds much better and MUCH deeper. Not to say that the magnaflow is a bad sounding system, I like it on stock manifolds and cats, it sounds nice and clean on my sisters SS... Now ive been riding with a LM2 for a while and I personally think it sounds mean as hell but its all personal opinion... As for the clamp complaints on the magnaflow get it all welded... Its the best way to go for sure.
