I have to imagine the price will come down some after the initial 6 mo. to 1 yr. -- they have to recoup their R&D/tooling costs on a new product first...

Lightbulb

I don't know how you can judge it w/out hearing it in-person. I hope Kooks does a nationwide tour to speed shops to show it off so people can see/hear it in the flesh!!!

So in order to run this cat back you MUST purchase a set of Kooks LT's no matter what? You cannot install it just by itself?

^Its not a catback but to answer your question, yes I believe it is made to be used with Kooks Headers only.

I'm sure with some tweaking/fabrication you could get it to fit other headers. It's just a bunch of metal after all.

KOOKS...give us some pictures of the ground clearance! That's a lot on money but it's a beautiful system. Most of us really don't need dual 3" pipes, maybe KOOKS will eventually make a 2.5" system too.

okay so lets take the average 304ss mandrel bend RETAIL price at 40$ per bend. dont matter if its a 10* bend or a 180* bend. still 40$....

the true duals looks like it will take about 13 bends 13x40=$520 just in bends...
prolly add another 150$ for strait tubing. buttt this is all retail price. im sure they get HUGE bulk discounts and make their own bends.

im pretty sure everything is TIG welded which also takes a gooooooood bit of time. atleast 4-6 hours . unless its computer welded.

i know where they are coming from when they are asking that "somewhat reasonable price" but for the average joe like me . sure as hell aint buying one anytime soon.they gonna have to come off that price, maybe if it was 1300$ . i would buy one. but 2g's no sir. you can buy a tig welder and your own stainless and teach yourself how to make custom exhuasts for 2k

+1 either that or do a package deal for ls1tech members! I'm about to buy exhaust and Would love that set up, lower the price on a group of ten buyers or something and I'm definately down. So that's one anyone else agree??

I have a 2'' set of kooks with 3.5 collectors. This kind of has me interested, but they'd probably have to be tweaked to work with 3.5 collectors or 3 inch reducers. Can you buy them without tips? I'm not a huge fan of them.

It's too bad that the system doesn't work without long tube headers. I know it's a good upgrade for these cars, I just don't wanna bother. I guess Corsa cat back it is.

LIBERTY1776-They provided a clip of the sound. and my car sounds very close to stock ti'll the cutout is open. So,to me it's too loud. And....is it really going to gain me power over an open cutout? Prob not. So,for my car....it's worth less. But,still a nice piece of work.

^ Who wants to drive with an open cutout open all the time? This true-dual would be a better choice, but I would add diverters to it... On top of that, you cannot judge sound well from a video.
