Default LS6 Intake or not

How do you tell the difference between the LS6 intake and the LS1 intake???
Is there any markings or numbers on the LS6 intake to identify.. Any help would be greatly APPRECIATED!!!! jwcej@pennswoods.net

the ls6 style will have a flat bottom

The LS1 is dipped inward on the bottom and the LS6 doesn't have an egr provision.

Watch out, the vette ls1 intakes like 97 thru 99 had no egr but were still ls1 intakes. Do a search for the part numbers, I can look on my intake and tell you what it is.

Ok, the Stock 2001-2002 F-body LS6 is 12561184.

The Z06 LS6 is 12573572.

These are the numbers stamped on the manifold

I believe that the F-body manifold is prefered and flows a little better than the Z06.

how old are those pt#'s? neither of them work on gmparts direct or paceparts?

forgot the number on mine but i have an 03 ls6 intake.
