Default Exhaust, intake, headers tune

I own a 2001 WS-6 trans-am with only 35 thousand miles. Its bone stock and i want to open it up a little bit. I plan on putting an slp air intake on it. shorty headers and a full true 2 1/2 inch dule exhaust. then getting a tune on it to get it all put together and mapped only on 91 octane. Does anyone have a rough idea on a horse power rating id pull with all this? I also live in colorado so this is a factor as well.

This is the internal section. I will move it to the External for you, but just be conscious of where you post. I noticed you were new.

With an '01, going to shorty headers is going to be a very minimal power gain. If you can't go with LTs due to emissions/inspection, I'd just leave the manifolds alone and spend the money somewhere else.

If you need them for inspection save yourself the hassle and just buy a catted set.The power difference isnt that significant unless you have certain goals in mind, but for a daily driver or weekend cruiser why cause extra headaches? Give us a call or email if you would like any other guidance or help.

oh and you'll definitely want longtubes unless you absolutely need to have shorties for emissions concerns.

Longtubes are still "illegal" because they move the cats. If it's an easy visual and they're not going to bitch about the cats not being in the stock location, you'd be fine with a catted setup. If it's an OBD2 scan deal, you can have the rear O2s tuned out and, as far as I know, it shouldn't cause any problems with a scanner test.

When i get emissions they do not visually look at the cats. They are just need when they hook the sensors up. So with an SLP intake, K&n air filter, long tube headers, dual 2 1/2 inch exhaust and a tune what are possible numbers i could put out?

Get longtubes, ditch the cats, get a tune, and they'll delete your o2 codes for the cats. You'll be fine.

That's corrected hp bub. I have 340rwhp corrected, but where I live I'm at 4,000ft. I only make 300rwhp here.
