Default Should I keep it or not!

I bought my camaro this last spring from a friend who was going through some hard times. It has the SLP 2OTL exhaust and about 2 month ago I put pacesetter longtubes w/ORY. I like it but I'm just not a big fan on the dual side pipes. I know this system flows well and I know they dont make it anymore but would it be a sin if I bought some mendrel bends and welded up duals? Is this system sought after enough to ask around?

The 2 ways I'm leading towards
-cut it up, run dual out the back and put E-cutouts after headers
-sell it and run true dual with X-pipe and Powersticks over the axle no cutouts

Need some opinions thanks

IMO, the Camaro looks better with no visible exhaust tips. I would put a set of turndowns mounted far enough back that their not easily visible. I'd also adding a set of e-cutouts after the headers would compete the package, quiet then loud as hell whenever you want.
So turn-down like this:

I'm in the same boat as you. I really like the sound of the 2otl but don't like the look of it.

I wouldn't get rid of it if I were you. It's different and that's cool, plus it sounds and performs great.

If you really wanted to though you could sell it for a decent amount of money to put towards duals.

Thanks for the replies. I'm still split, kinda leaning towards keeping it with E-cutouts though you would have the best of both worlds.

Get the TDs and sell the 2OTL. How much would you ask for it? I am looking for one for a reasonable price.
To be honest, it sounds great, TDs will sound much different, guess it all depends on the sound you are looking for as well as the appearance out the rear. You could also find an SLP dual/dual that will look nice.

I agree. Looks much cleaner that way. Ive got mine cutoff right after the bend where the I-pipe would weld up to the muffler. Performs great and sounds badass with the LT's.

Turndowns are tempting. It would give it a nice clean look and I could paint the system black to hide it even more.

I had a 2OTL on my 97 Z28 with LT's and an ORY and I liked it OK. It's quiet but in a good way. Good luck man.

You can always get those custom CME tips off ebay. The kit is like 300 bucks and you can easily round those 2OTL tips around to meet in the center. I have seen it done before do a search on this website. It still flows really well and some people think it looks better . I personally love the 2OTL. People think the car is a V6 with some custom tips. I love the sleeper look. Another plus is back when this exhaust was made they still used good stainless steel and the 2OTL will last forever!!

Wouldn't you need an SLP or like dual/dual muffler to do this? It would take alot of work and pipe to do the CME exhaust on a 2 OTL. Doesn't make sense? Agreed though, can't go wrong with a stainless catback, I sanded/cleaned and old one up and was impressed that they last so long.

A good price for you and the buyer would be $200. I saw an uncut 2OTL go for $400 the other day! lol That guy REALLY wanted it. hahaha
