Lighter crank pulley cause HP loss (read within)

I just read this on CF. Granted, the tech quality on CF is *ahem* a bit different than here, but Grassroots is a pretty respectable mag.
Any thoughts? It seems like everyone claims gains with a lightweight pulley but I wonder if that is just from the underdriven effect. I wonder if there's lighter pulleys that aren't underdriven. Or vice versa.

What in the blue **** does valve lift and profile have to do with balancing a crank? Besides this ******* has just come over from the import world, and is now out racing mustangs??? An underdrive crank pulley produces power increases by decreasing the amount of force required to turn the crank pulley itself, as wel as the accessories. End of story. Thats not a mystery. However, if you get some piece of **** pulley that throws the balance of the crank off, of course its going to suffer. Who the hell has a 14oz crank pulley. That doesn't even have enough mass to balance my ****.

LMAO!
Normally I'd edit out the "F" word. But, it fits too well in that statement.
I gain no hp on the dyno with a pulley... but drivability and track times improved. Guess that was just in my head
