I thinking about getting the slp lm2 system on my 02 z28, but I can't decide which tips to get. Should I get the dual dual tips or 3.5 slash tips. They both cost the same. Do you guys have an opinion?

I have the dual/duals and everyone tells me it looks stock until they hear it. Looks good to me though. I believe they offer 4 different style tips now.

Is there any sound difference or performance difference?

3.5 Slash Tips look better (IMO) on Camaros than Dual/Dual Tips....

... I wouldn't buy the LM2! ... I have the LM1 and I love it.

w/o cats lm1's are too loud and too raspy. if you want duals just buy the TSP duals with dynomax bullets. it sounds better than lm's anyways and is cheap enough already.

the lm1 IS a resonator. which means there is nothing inside of it. for it to be a muffler is has to be able to MUFFLE.

The LM1 with your set up will be a good amount louder at WOT and just driving around. Idle will probably stay the same. With that setup I would use cats and kill some of the rasp.

I just don't want to get a lot of tickets for "disturbing the peace" or "noise violations." With the lm2, I think I could get off the gas when I sniff some fuzz out. lol. Even if I did want it to be louder in the future, I could delete cats, slap some LT headers and MAYBE get a cam. All in the future, All to come. ....I hope. lol

Anyone else have an opinion of the dual dual tips or the 3.5 slash tips for the lm catback systems from slp? I don't know which one to get! I have heard goods and bads from both sides, and heard that dual dual owners like theirs, and slash tips owners like theirs. I just don't know which one I like better. Can someone post pics of their slash tips and dual duals? This would really help me out. Thanks guys.

I have a Corsa, it's far too quite. Heard a friend with a LM1 on his T/A and it sounded perfect, the way a F-Body should always sound. Waiting on my own LM1 to come in the mail, swapping it out ASAP... I've noticed most people who don't like loud mouth prefer a much quiter sound that only picks up at real high RPM... which is not how an American performance car should sound IMO.

You should get dual/dual tips for a T/A, and the single tips for a Camaro. Only buy LM2 if you have a built motor, headers and no cats. My 2cents.

Its really a love it or hate it with a lm1,ory ,and cam,I liked it at first but it wore me out pretty fast, the tsp y pipes have a really good merge that kills some noise but the lm1 sounds freaking sweet and idle and wot it rules but everywhere else the sound just gets on your nerves, honest if you want something really loud and a great sound true duals is where its at,I have grown to really love the chambered sound,
