IMO Blackwing is slightly better fitting, But for the Price difference SLP is the way to go.

Gm tech dynoed six lids against eachother on a car, then ran them all at the track. The wisper lid was in a top spot with the best for mph at the track was the old t.s.p lid. I had a whisper lid it fit great and after the dyno gm tech did i was happy when i saw how it stacked up against the others. The slp lid was a little behind the whisper but still better then some.

There all going to be about the same, I doubt you'll ever win/lose a race because you have brand X, instead of brand Z lid. The reason I went with the SLP lid is because of what it's made of, if it was made from hard plastic I wouldn't of bought it.
IMO, get the one you want and don't worry about!

I've been trying to find some discussion about the K&N FIPK. My car has a mild h/c setup and makes 430/407 rwhp/rwtq, with the above K&N intake setup that was on the car when I bought it. I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to go back to a stock-style setup with a lid and chris1313 ram air.
What do you guys think?

I had a SLP lid but went with K&N FIPK. The SLP lid came with a little weather strip that came right off with in a week and seem like dirt would come up threw the back of the lid. Thats why I went with K&N FIPK everything is sealed. I like it a lot better. Its all user preference though I guess. +1 for K&N FIPK IMO

This is a great thread. Im in the process of needing a lid for my build so I'm listening in to what everybody say. Have anybody went from a slp lid to a FTP lid? If so could you tell any difference?

FTP is good when using larger TB's / MAFs. The quality is slightly better than an SLP which IMO are junk....mine broke really quick. My FTP lid also rubs the hood on my WS6 a little. Best one hands down is the black wing....OEM quality but they can be expensive to find a good one.
