I have the mufflex 4 inch single catback with Longtubes and ORY... It sounds good.. I get nothing but compliments.. It does have a have a high pitched tone at WOT.. My friend has LTs and ORX and bullets dumped on a true dual setup and at any given RPM my car is just as loud

I posted in Bobs99s thread .
I have the 4" Mufflex with a straight through Magnaflow.
Lil more mellow then the video of the Spintech muffler, except when I stomp on it.
I'll get some drive time on a video when I return from OZ on the 26th.

I have the 3.5" single out system with a Flowmaster 30 series. I always get compliments on the sound, It's louder at idle then the previous 3" system and really comes alive at WOT.
System install is pretty straight forward, mine required a little pipe cutting and fab work on some of the mounts to keep rattles away.

4" Mufflex single here with the Spintech muffler. Still stock cats and y pipe but LT's are coming soon. I love it, no drone and the car feels way snappier vs the Flowmaster that was on it when i bought the car. I had the 3.5 version on my old 98 Z28 and it picked up a solid 2 tenths and 3 mph at the track over the stock catback!

I had the 4 inch system on my '94 Formula installed by them in the Mufflex shop. Worst install ever. It hit everything. The floorboards. The driveshaft. The rear U-joint. I was happy to chop it out. It droned pretty badly on the highway with the Spintech muffler.
I wouldn't do more than a 3.5 inch single and I would stay far away from Mufflex.

i have a 4" spintech system, i have vids in my sig. and with a very conservative set up i made 396 rwhp. adding a cut out might bring me 5 or so rwhp, but i really don't see picking up 20.

Brian, your installation looks very good. Sadly, mine was anything but. I wish I could say my experiences with Mufflex were better.
These pictures are the system as they installed it. They wedged a rubber block in the pipe over the rear to prevent tapping on the floorboards. The hideous front flange also hit the floor. Their hangers were bent wires poked into the body hangers, welded to the piping then cut off. The muffler hung so low, a floor jack wouldn't fit but there was enough space above the muffler for a loaf of bread.
The pipe over the rear kept hitting the rear. The pipe also hit the universal joint.
At one point the entire rear of the system pulled off the hangers and hung to the ground.
Their lack of craftsmanship, quality and concern for the customer getting what he paid for was very disappointing.
You guys all see I have ample reasons to tell everybody about the fun I had with Mufflex.

uhhhh, i had zero problems with my system. i did have to have my muffler shop custom weld some stuff, but that had to do more with the y-pipe than the cat back. i have a tsp y-pipe with a fm merge spliced in. it took very little modification to get it to work. and i have zero tapping/banging or clearance issues. the only banging i get is from not having poly motor mounts(which is my fault). sorry to hear about your experience and it comes as a surprise to me honestly.

I had the 4" single in/dual out Spintech. Hated it. Sounded awful on a healthy 355 SBC. It was HEAVY, and looked like **** from the back. The muffler was just a HUGE box that hung way too low. I traded someone online the rear section for a single in/out Flowmaster. Perfect fit, dropped a ton of weight, picked up MPH at the track, and the sound is fantastic. Both systems required a lot of finesse with the install to clear everything.
