If you decide intake, get a driveshaft loop if you don't already have one.

You can't break an intake from driving it. You can break a rear though. I'd do the rear first. Which ever one you choose.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this but swapping the rear and changing up the rear gear will net you better performance....

^ How?? Besides the obvious gear change SOTP changes and different ETs. I've heard this once before where people free'd up some power from a rear change.

What im saying is the car will be quicker and feel quicker...

Changing gears from 3.42(or whatever he currently has) to 4.10 assuming you have traction will win you more races then adding FAST in his current setup.

Why would you want to break something before you change it? I've swapped a lot of things and even though it doesn't always work I like to try and take them off in working order so I can recoop a little $$ for them.

I vote rear, plus you can sell a working ten bolt and either buy an LS6 (if you don't have one OR have your current intake worked over)

I'm running 4.10s now. I thought about going to a 4.30 when I go to the 9 inch but haven't decided. I'm afraid of running out of gear. Oh and its an 02 so I've got the LS6 factory but when I eventually get the FAST I'm gonna put the LS6 on the Camaro which is also gonna get the Torquer 2 when it comes out.

9" for sure... the difference between the ls6 intake and fast is minimal compared to what youll be able to do to that rear end once you change it... if you choose the fast, I want the 9"...

if you already have an ls6 intake stick it out and go 9".
if the rear end doesnt go the drive shaft might (mine did!); go to work under there first.
