When is the S60 best? It is heavier and eats more power... proven facts.

You got a daily! Get the intake and have it worked. You won't get your best numbers like you can with that 10 bolt until it finally gives. Ride it out!

Go with the 9 inch rear-end all the way.

410s are fine for the highway. My camaro has them and I get 24 mpg. And the car might see the track 3 times a year, maybe. As long as spinning won't junk the 10 bolt immediately I'll prolly go FAST. I do alot of roll racing. Thanks

Interesting read! Somewhat subjective but looks as if the 9" used less HP.
Goes against everything it should have though with the S60's higher physical location of the pinion, it should have came out just opposite. None the less the testing looked as if it was done as fair as possible.
Thanks for the link!

Get the FAST, and sell your stock LS6 intake and save again for the rear.

Weight of internals, 35 splines, etc... It weighs 20 lbs. more and their numbers on the weights look dead on from what I got. Looks like good solid testing and numbers to me.

x2. Getting the intake now will also save you the hassle/money of having to retune for again later.

Save your money and wait until you can do both, otherwise i would go rear first.

Do you run your car or your mouth?

If you run your mouth get a FAST, if you run your car, you're going to need a better axle!

I put a Moser 9" in my car when it was K&N Filter and Lid, those were the only engine mods... build the suspension/axle/tranny first then the motor... once my motor went in I shot from 12.9's to 11.1x's, now I'm knock'n on the door to the 10's with out a worry in the world, full weight street car !

going home on a tow truck sucks, especially when you know the 10 bolt is a ticking time bomb.

Get the 9in and get it out of the way you can always get a LS6 intake for the time being and P&P your stock throttle body for time being that you build up funds for the F.A.S.T. set up.

My vote is for a intake and see what happens with the rear! To many guys on hear still driven there 10 with alotta power! I think with a little common sense a 10 might make it, but if ur dumping the clucth at 5k and hitting the track every weekend the end is near for the rear !!
I'm going to put an S-60 in but I'm going to try and make it as long as possible!!

Your rear is a timebomb... your intake isn't. Do the rear first!

If you're going to go to the drag strip the 9 inch will be 10 times better for your ETs than a FAST (on some good tires, ofcourse).

^^^ just like he said, build the suspension first then go for more power.

I vote 9in as well, might as well as an ls6 intake is not going to hinder you very much but breaking a ten bolt at the track will
