I really doubt there could be much gain if any. I don't think it would be worth the money and the swap since you already have headers

You would be wrong. That engine dyno linked above showed the results. Even on a stock motor, the 1 7/8" headers make better power! They are not too big, they don't kill back-pressure, etc. They are a good upgrade!

Also thinking about doing the TSP's. I want to know how much of a bottle neck my original design SLP longtubes are hurting me on my car. Let alone 2 of the primarys on the passenger side being flattened out.

Just because it put down good numbers doesn't mean it couldn't do better

6-8hp is definitely worth the swap since Ill only have a couple hundred in the swap after selling my pacesetters. And since I now have a BMR k-member the swap should be a breeze!

Well yeah but id never uninstall headers only to reinstall a different brand and hope to gain a small amount of power. lol

i currently dont have any headers...just looking for the best bang for the buck...are the hooker 2291's comparable to the TSP's?

Think about it this way... how many people buy underdrive pulleys for $200 and hope for 6-8 hp? A LOT!!!!!

I'm doing the same thing, spending $200 and hoping for 6-8hp

I doubt it would be 6-8. Maybe on a heads/cam car.

I did say hope

From the thread I linked to:

"The 1 7/8" headers made a peak hp of 414.x hp & 421lb ft while the 1 3/4" headers made 408hp & 419 lb ft of torque. While this isn't a huge difference, it definately shows that even on a basically stock car the larger headers are still a good investment!"

On a build like yours, they would be definitely worth it man, even more so with the nitrous! Do it and don't look back! Get the TSP ORY as well, with its adjustability and higher flow, you cannot go wrong!

I wouldn't even THINK of running anything other than 1 7/8", even on a stock motored car.

I think that these have got to be one of the best buys as far as headers, hundreds less than all the stainless ones and they don't look like crap after a month
