Default Many Questions about my Camaro, NEED A LOT OF HELP

Ok here it goes, I bought my camaro used and im the third owner, the guy I bought it from buys and sells cars and he didn't knew much about the car only what the original owner told him. As far as he know it was stock but after inspecting the car I noticed a few things, it has blinstein shocks/struts, it has a tranny cooler, a red torque converter ????? (ill post a pic), new starter and new plug wires, new ac compressor and a few other things i can't remember. Anyways, the alternator went out in the car the third day i bought so i replaced it and its been fine since then

Issues: I installed some pacesetter headers with dual flowmaster single chamber mufflers after the header then a custom made y pipe, my car is running wierd but I thing the problem was their before the swap, the mph gauge sometimes gets stuck, and move up and slow and the car seems like it shifts late, really wierd anyways, and as far as I know my radiator is cracked and was going to buy a new one but my friend from my car club told me to get an LT1 Radiator because the provide better cooling than the LS1 is it true?? getting codes for the cats since im not running cats that wouldnt cause the car to be running bad would it ?????

Sounds like to me it needs a computer tune. THat y pipe is horrible. I would do something about that too when you get a chance. Just my .02. Other than that stuff. It looks nice to me. I would just stay with your LS1 radiator. I have seen that topic go back and forth. I would run what you got. I have my stock LS1 radiator in my car and its fine. I would invest in a good trans cooler with that stall converter in it. I see you have one in it already but from what I have read that trans cooler is the life line of that trans. Esp when doing a lot of in town driving.

As far as the exhaust goes, I think you would be better off with an aftermarket Y pipe and cat-back. The mufflers right at the headers probably are a big restriction. Shouldn't cause any driveability problems tho.

Check the wiring and VSS sensor, (vehicle speed) It can affect your shifts.

Maybe I missed it in your post but clean our maf sensor with the spray from autozone or wherever, and check the vss as said above. The car should not run crappy from the headers most people run fine until the tune myself included some people dont even get tuned for years. As far as th tc goes idk could be a revmax or yank?

one more thing sorry for the double post but an lt1 radiator is a little thicker than an ls1 and will cool better we just did it on my buddys t/a however you will need a small freeze plug to block off the coolant sensor output on the top of the lt1 rad unless you have a 98 car then youd be good to go there. also what exactly do u mean by "running weird"

its the vehicle speed sensor(VSS). its on the tailshaft of the trans. should be able to see it if you climb under there
