Just go with an aftermarket lid with the plastic cut underneath the filter. Then run one of the many ram air kits like the chris1313 if you want MAX performance and less stock appearing or go for the FTRA by Fast Toys for a more professional and stock look. This will route the air from under the car right to the filter so when your cruising, you can really get a lot of air hitting the filter.

Default Ftra

The FTRA doesn't hang down at all so it is very stealth and no risk to damage on curbs. Other setups on the market have a foward facing scoop that hangs below the bumper.

SSRA, it has a scoop on it that directs more air into the system than the FTRA. In these two pics you can actually see that it is bigger, thus more air will flow into it. As you can see by the pics the throat is larger front to back and side to side. In the 3rd pic is the SSRA mounted on an Orange Camaro. As you can see it's hard to see it's even there. You would have to be laying on the ground to see it.

I ran the original SSRA on 2 of our Camaros with excellent results and now look forward to running the SSRA Mega Mouth on our quicker 9 second Camaro since we have the A/C removed.

We plan to do some back to back testing in a few weeks. I know there will be an improvement, but how much improvement is why I want to test it with and without. It'll be a fun opportunity since our bracket racing season hasn't kicked off yet.

I'll keep ya'll posted.
