Default Is the chrs1313 Ram air worth it?

I'm thinking of buying the chrs1313 ram air from Speed Inc. Is this ram air worth getting?

Yes, but you have to take your air out.

Yeah I gotta disagree with ya there... AC is the best invention EVER lol... Especially when we've got days like yesterday... 90 degrees 90% humidity... Glad I don't live further south. How far up in WI are you?

We sell them and for 1 good reason... they work! We have not seen less then 2 mph with the non A/C kit as as much as 4 mph on some cars.

This I feel is one of the best bang for the buck mods you can do. This is not for everyone as the big dog requires ditching the A/C, but there is an A/C kit which will as well add performance.

give our sales guys a call if you need to get one ordered

I dont post a lot about different products, but this one WORKS! I added it to my 01 SS and couldnt believe the difference .My improvements are not the norm as I went from a Stock airbox and MTI lid to the Chris1313 set up on a 416 cu in motor but the difference was remarkable. First pass off the trailer was 7 mph faster than previous best this was in worse air. No changes to the tune as of yet this is a SD tune. I highly recommend the Chris 1313 Ramair setup.

So do you need to remove all the ac parts or just the ac rad?

Buy the ram air ditch the whole a/c lines and all and dont look back . This ram air kit is simply amazing. I picked up almost 8mph switching to this ram air and 90/90 setup over ls6 intake/ported tb in the 1/8 mile. Alll my buddies who picked up the chris1313 ramair also had awesome gains and gained at least 2mph in the 1/4. One of the best bolt on mods for these cars yet. Also my gains were with low fuel preasure as my pump is going out will post new results with new pump soon. Great intake Chris

Iv been thinking about this for a while. He makes one that will work with your ac as well just in case noone knows. Its def worth it to get the one that works with ac alone because its bigger than ssra and ftra. I had ssra on my 98 and I liked that so I can only imagine what this other ram air would do.

The chrs1313 ram air is very well worth it IMO. Personally, I've had both versions on my car. With the version that retains your AC my car went .178 seconds faster and 1.534 mph faster just by going from free ram air to the chrs1313 ram air. This is with the DA corrected in both cases. I now have the non AC version and the flow is even better. Here are some pics of mine btw (the non AC version)...

Here is a picture from the front of the car...this is without the extension on...

It will run a little hotter but not much. Fast toys did a heat test when they were making their ftra. I think the temps were only like a degree hotter or something. Its probly on their site. I dont feel like lookin it up lol

The reason he is asking if the car will run hotter is because it blocking air flow to the radiator.
