Installed the non AC version a month or so ago and finally got to take it to the track.
The weather was around 44 degrees. It's not a true comparison because I changed converters also. Went from a circle d 2c around 3600 to a circle d 3e around 4400. Mph went from 123.78 to 127.37. Time went from 10.89 to 10.52. Like I said the weather was 20-30 degrees cooler between the times from September and January. Time slips are attached.
So anybody else install this with positive track gains? Anymore pics with it installed?
I'm thinking about getting this ram air to knock off a few tenths.
I haven't been to the track yet, but this mod along with a ported/polished TB seemed to make for a slightly better throttle response. And in theory it should help out a bit the faster you go
This will def add a little topend mph. I put the Fast toys on my nearly stock ls1 camaro and gained a solid .1 and 1mph. Changed to chrs1313 non ac version when I took the ac off and went back and the car marginally picked up. I really like the FTRA for ease of installation and it works. chrs1313 is for someone with a long list of mods or a mostly track only car (my car is). Shameless plug I am selling the FTRA in the classifieds $95 shipped!!!

So it really didn't gain much over the FTRA? That's the comparison I'd like to see since I have one. I'm sure it would make a bigger difference the faster you go, but I'm not sure it would be worth it on a strictly 1/8 mile car like mine.

No it didn't and its not exactly a 5 minute install like the FTRA. I'd say with a higher hp car the chrs1313 non ac would be worth it especially if you want to keep the stock style intake setup. 1/8 mile car not so much
Last night I read through all 20 pages of this thread. The results and comparisons are there if you look. From what I gather the CHRS 1313 is the most proven one whether you buy the ac or non ac version. The install may be more time consuming but if you're worried about that then I don't know what to tell ya IMO. The main thing to all of these systems is making sure you have the AIR BOX SEALED. If it leaks it's not going to preform like it's designed to.
My question is for people that removed their A/C. Can you recall any problems with the windows fogging up repeatedly? I'm all for pulling my ac even though I drive the car 3 + days a week May - October. Not to mention losing the extra 30 lbs from removing it.

If you went from a FTRA to a "NON" AC version you will pick up at least 1mph (I quote low, most gain more) if all sealed up correctly, I did this exact test back in my stock internal days before even making these for others...Anything more modded will gain slightly more
Something to note is density altitude can make a big difference...remember to account for it...just 10* can add or subtract 1mph...also other factors is humidity and wind...most forget wind direction...
If one day you have a 15mph tail wind and the next time it is a head wind that is a 30mph wind delta...my car personally has slowed down 1mph+ with a heavy head wind...
First off the install is pretty straight forward. I ended up sending Chris a PM and he answered all my questions. If you take your time and SEAL everything off the job is a breeze. I haven't experienced my car running any hotter. Maybe 5° higher than normal. I was driving in 95° temps this weekend with NO problems.
Now for the data. See below for the time slips.
I picked up almost a solid 5 mph going from the LS1 intake and K&N FIPK to FAST 92/92,FTP 104mm Lid and CHRS1313 Non AC.
Before
After.
Dyno of FIPK vs FTP 104mm Lid and CHRS1313 Non Ac.
One thing to add is that you can hear this thing suck! I believe its one of the best mods for 200$
