Default Idea : LM1 + Sweet Thunder

I have the SLP LM1 system heading my way and was wondering if anyone has ever stuck a sweet thunder chambered muffler in the place of the loudmouth resonator. If not, I may be trying this experiment in the coming months.

My good friend put a Sweet Thunder in place of his LM resonator and it sounded AWESOME. The only issue is he dyno'd 415rwhp with the stock dual/dual. After the Sweet Thunder/LM setup it went to 378rwhp. They dropped the i-pipe on the dyno and it pulled right back to 408rwhp. Mayhem Motorsports said that the Sweet Thunder mufflers neck down so much inside that it killed the flow and power. I'm going to put a powerstick chambered muffler on in a few weeks in place of my LM1 and check the numbers after.

Did not mean those vids blow,I mean the 30 or more loss in hp,that's just crazy ,that can't be for real,

It's 100% for real. Sweet Thunders flow worse than a cherry bomb lol. It sounded GREAT though.

Well damn mine is stock, can't afford to lose any hp. I mean I'm 20, I'd love the loud since I'm going from stock exhaust, the info on those chambered mufflers is depressing but they sound so nice.

Mayhem did tell him that the TD's with sweet thunders don't do AS bad because there are 2 to handle the exhaust instead of overpowering one.

Yeah I figure with duals it wouldn't be as bad,but from what I have heard a great y pipe setup flows just as good as some duals,I really would like to see some more dyno info about the loss with the ST,imo that is just way to big of a loss, any one have any dyno info on switching from ST to spiral flows or something, you would think if on a y the ST will kill 30 hp ,duals (even though there are 2 pipes) would gain by also switching from a ST to another bullet style,

The chamber mufflers just sound so freaking good on a ls1.I have even heard a powerstick dumped off a y before and that sounded good
