Which motor mount to get?
Which motor mount to get? Im in need of some new motor mounts and I am looking at Prothane motor mounts and Energy Suspension mounts. Do any of you know what the difference is between the two because there is a pretty good price difference between the brands?
Arent those a bit more brutal when it comes to vibration. I dont want the car feeling much more shakie than it already does with the cam. I know the poly mounts are stiffer than stockers but they do absorb some of the vibration dont they?
i installed prothane motor mounts in my car when i did the headers. They where a pain to install but it was worth it. As far as vibration i really did not notice a difference in the car. I also have a prothane transmission mount. i would highly recommend the trans mount too

There's no chance in hell I'd install solid motor mounts in a street driven car. They're not at all worth the huuuge decrease in ride comfort. Prothane poly mounts will be more than fine.

Verdad Gallardo Ya its more of a daily car I use it more often than my dd... Its to much fun to leave it parked, so comfort is a big factor. The energy suspension are way less expensive so I think ill go with those.
How much are the energy mounts im bout to buy mounts myself the solids where 100 i didnt think that was cheap and solids are normally less lol
Lol they do ride rough but I dont wanna make it worse and trust me there are worst riding cars out there that make fbodys seem like ur floating on a cloud lol. And I believe I found energy's for around $30..prothanes were $50
I went with Prothane. Their trans mount is definitely almost a solid mount though, if you look at the mounting holes it sites directly on top of another piece of metal. It's basically just wrapped in poly. I have gotten used to it, but I might switch back to a new stock mount.
