Do i REALLY need LS6 valley cover/steam tubes with LS6 intake?

Valley cover isn't needed, but it a LS6 valley is an upgrade to a LS1. GM redesigned the PCV system to pull less oil into the intake. They can be bought from GM parts direct for somewhat cheap, sorry no P/N. I think I have three of them laying around if you are interested. The way I see it is you are already there, it's only a few bolts and super easy.

Yes, use a simple chisel or angle griner/dremmel tool with a cutting wheel and just take them all off. I honestly prefer the chisel but to each their own. Sucks about the ripoff intake man.

^ The previous owner prolly had a nice top end setup and wanted to transfer it to his next car. I was going to do the same thing if I got a C5. Transfer my heads, cam and PCM.
