85mm MAF rewiring to USE IAT
Here's what I found.. I still have to find the schematics for the Camaro, but I found the ones for the Vette.
Purple and Tan wires are for the IAT (Vette)

while, only downside was a wireball on top of the motor.
It was better than the in-lid IAT which heat-soaked
really bad and had negligible airflow (located in back
corner).
Eventually I pulled the IAT wire pair out of the loom
along with the MAF trio and soldered them all up to
a 5-wire MAF plug (Casper's again).
But now I have IAT coming from a thermistor up in
the cowl ventilation and wired into the harness near
the PCM. That is much better for hot starting and
such, it reads ambient air and not engine bay air
(which, if your cold air setup does its job, is more
realistic).
Good idea wiring one up by the cowl.. I may do that eventually. A tuner on the local board told me not to use the IAT in the MAF, but I wasn't sure why.
