Question Throttle body?

I have an 01 trans-am. I understand it has the ls6 intake. I would like to purchase a 85mm tb for it. Now i know the port on the ls6 intake is built for the 75mm tb so would putting an 85 on there even with the plate to make the two flow correctly is it bad or should i buy the intake manifold too? Because I hear the ls6 manifold flows pretty good already? Any suggestions?

If you do this ^ you'll have to use RTV for the gasket because you have to end up cutting the original, but I've seen it done. (I think it was a FAST though).

W/ the ported stock I noticed improved throttle responce...some shops have dyno'd around 7 hp give or take...you wont see anymore power w/ a ported 80mm on stock cubes/motor.

FWIW: I made 414/372 with h/c on an LS6 intake and ported stock TB. I noticed a solid gain over the stocker when I was all bolt-ons (at the time.) It made the car a little more touchy.

How much should i expect to pay to get it port and polished? I know i could do it myself but i dont trust myself with something that dictates whether the car runs correctly or not.
