ls6 intake

i was just on TSP's website and saw that they have a deal going on for ls6 intakes. They also have a package deal with the 28.8 lb injectors and fuel rails off of the 01-02 fbods. I am definetly going to order the intake but wasn't sure if I should do the deal with the injectors or not....any suggestions?

so the injectors wouldn't make much of a difference then?

No, I don't think you need to upgrade them just yet. Off the top of my head I don't remember what 2001 came with, what whatever size they are, I still have them, and I'm doing just fine. You may want to upgrade them if you are planning on getting quite a bit more power. For most bolt ons I don't think you would need to upgrade them, but if you get a stroker kit or a power adder of any sort, or what not, then yes you will need to upgrade them. But for now, you'll be fine

Since you have a 2000 you'll need a egr adapter too.

I have done both rhe egr and air mods...sorry i didnt mention that before....thanks for the replies!

The egr mod is not the same as egr adapter for the LS6 intake, you'll need to get or make a egr adapter if you get a LS6 intake so you can hook up your egr to the LS6 intake.

The injectors are really only needed if your going to be running dry nitrous or bigger plans down the road like heads/cam.

You want to make sure the TSP intake comes with gaskets, I know they didnt before and its a $40 gasket set

Gaskets come with PN88894339 from GMPartsDirect for $361.50, + $23 for air bleed pipe, +$2.53 ea for plugs (2 needed). And yes, please do read thread above "Is 2001 LS1 intake same as LS6?" Don't know if TSP provides gaskets. I'll gladly support our sponsor(TSP) if so.

Geez, now i don't know who to order this thing off of....guess i'll have to find out if TSP ships the gaskets with the manifold or not and which company the shipping is better with

....oh well

GMPartsdirect total for pn88894339 manifold w/gaskets $361.50, pn12568478 air bleed pipe $20.83, pn12563325 plugs $2.53eaX2, + shipping to PA=$440.78
Verify this from GMPartsdirect, then compare w/TSP
