Posted this in Gen IV but figured I would share here in the *General* 102 thread.

Picked up a 102 complete with the mid-length("High HP") runners already installed. So this is available.

Here is a pic and the part number.

Cool, I was thinking they never ended up making them. I swapped from a 92 to a 102 and can feel a slight difference above 5500rpm. Not a lot but a little.

Don't the shorter runners produce high rpm horsepower and less torque? Seems like the oposite of what you want in a 4,000 lb car?

Yes; though the mid runners don't appear to lose much if anything down low like the "race" runners and I want peak power 7K+.
It does seem but I'm doing something a bit different. Aluminum flywheel, solid roller, 4.56s, 2.29 Magnum. Want to turn some RPM. Not practical but not important.

I just help a customer put together a complete top end package for use with those runners. He was looking to shift at 7500 RPM. I am looking forward to the results.

Seems silly none for the cathedral ports. That's a gigantic population of engines that mostly started with smaller displacements compared to the (factory)square-port engines. Less cubes generally requires more RPM to make same power...and shorter runners seem to be the ticket for that. Not to mention the crap-ton of aftermarket cathedral head offerings that beg for this.

Does anyone happen to have the instructions for the LS1/LS6 manifold? I ended up getting one off the classifieds from someone who changed directions but it didn't come with instructions and all I can find online is for the LS3. If one of you guys could scan and upload the instructions that would be greatly appreciated!

Is that the Heatshield products I-M thermal barrier? If so how does it fit? I'm not sure if it is just a gimmick but I figure it can't hurt as long as it doesn't cause any mounting issues.

It cost me about $45 with shipping. I used the Hinson short mounts to help with clear. It's a tight fit on the C5 bt I didn't have any issues. Might as well do the heat shield right?

I did the port work over the winter so I took my time. If you worked on it over the weekends I bet you could have it done in as little as 2 weeks if you port it the way I did. It's not the normal "Porting" that other people are doing. I removed material on the runners ( top and bottom). I found a thread on corvette forum that a guy did this on his C6. He picked up 10 HP just from shaving down the runners. He only did the bottom... I'll see if I can dig up the thread.

Correct. Use the stock fuel rail. No grinding. My SLP lid didn't line up right. Too much of a downward angle. But I did change the heads also.

Wow, this is impressive! I've got one of the heat shields waiting to install when/if I ever had to take the FAST off...maybe this will push me to remove it and port at the same time. Were your gains strictly from porting, or did you install the heat barrier between pulls as well? I've heard they're good for around 2% increase in RWHP.

I was more wondering if it caused any issues bolting the intake to the engine and having the ports match up and seal to the heads. Just wanted to make sure there is enough room under the intake for it to fit.
