Wow great thread! I just got my VRD ported Fast 102 in. Also ordered a 06 GTO waterpump and FIC is resizing my stock injectors to 42lb because I'm running the fat Lucas 42lbers that don't work well with the FAST 102. I'll post some pics once I get it put on. I splurged on the Fast Billet rails also this setup looks sick!

I made a bracket out of aluminum stock from Lowes. This can be made with a drill, hacksaw and file. It is held down by an intake bolt. To that little diving board of a bracket I bolted the OE bracket using two 4-40 screws. I had to bend the hardline just a little by very carefully heating it with a heat gun. Car is in the shop or I would attach pics.

you delete the evap and your gonna smell gas all the time, if you don't mind fumes inside/outside your car then go for it and rip it all out.

I deleted all my evaporated from intake to fuel tank. No gas smell. I put a small breather on the evaporated line of the fuel tank. My car sits in the garage and no fumes in their either.

May I ask what breather you used?

I just used a clear fuel filter for a breather I picked it up at Advance Auto Parts. Then tuned the codes out with HP Tuners. I also took out the evap hard line form the tank to the manifold.

Well since SweetS10V8 knows so much to go in and edits MY post, and knows some much about the 102 intake. The post *** hat edit stated that the 42lb injectors will fit, no modifactions to the intake, with the correct rails the injectors WILL FIT and operate with no extra risks then the taller injectors. Here is the prove that the fat injectors work:

So before you edit a post and have to truth behind a statement because you read some where on the internet that they dont fit, wont work. Go try.

Yes the car has over 7k miles with that injector set up in the fast 102, several track passes, still no leaks.

So to the LS1tech people, try it before you take his word .

Default Cross Over Tube

FWIW, to all searchers.

I had to cut my LS6 coolant crossover tube and install a hose to fit under the 102 TB opening. Today I removed it and installed an LS3 crossover. Much better fit!!

Default Rails

From the dead but what rails did you use? I have a set of nasty performance rails on my FAST 92 now and I have a set of the 102 FAST rails. I havent installed my intake yet.

Also if anyone has modified their intake with a dremel does anyone have a video or pics? The 42s are so easy to tune.

What could be my issue here? I did notice the arp head bolt washers do extend past the head and could possibly be the issue. Anything else it could be?
Note: It isnt the waterpump, as I have an ls2 waterpump.

I ordered a fast 102 to replace my stock ls2 intake. can my stock intakes gaskets be used with the fast? I'm pretty sure the intake runners can, but what about the stock 90 mm throttle body gasket, can that be used on the fast?

Just got my fast 102 and noticed there are only 5 bolts holding the intake together but seem to be extra holes around the intake for more bolts to hold the two halves together. SeemS like using the extra holes with more bolts would seal the 2 halves together better no? Also I have 3 roll pins sticking out of the bottom of my intake and not sure why or if they shold even be there?

The bolt that are holding the intake together on the end are fine , the roll pins are to line the intake runner up to the heads , the long intake bolts that go down the side is what help seal the intake together and to the heads . Make sure you torque them ,so you dont warp the intake or crack it. And make sure you use the supplied button type allen bolts that goes to the valley cover under the intake .

Cool thank you for that info. I am going to do a little clean up of the ports and inside of the intake. No porting just cleaning up all the casting flash and rough spots. I noticed the removable runners all have slight gaps where the two halves of the runner inlets/trumpets are welded/glued together. Is this a problem?
