Correct, I used a 4" and its really snug but perfect! (BTW, this is with a Calloway 100mm MAF and FAST 102 TB)

Today I finished a swap from a 96mm typhoon intake with a fast 92 tb to a 102/102 set up. Bayer, thanks for the info on the water pump! I set up the intake and tb with an ls2 water pump and it was flawless

One thing that was briefly mentioned, the coolant crossover line. I'm surprised I hadn't read more on it, because it was absolutely necessary to cut it and install a 1/4" fuel line to get under the bigger intake. Just one more thing to plan for in the install!

Also, Bayer, I installed my map upwards with a sheet metal bracket from my typhoon... Thanks for all your documentation!

I did the swap because I got a killer deal on the FAST 102/102 combo. Otherwise, I would have been content with my Typhoon. There are a few other threads on here where we talk about the cost/benefit of a metal intake. A lot of people say heat sink is a myth, I say the airflow used in those calculations is a lot higher than actual and therefore the heat transfer is a lot worse than calculated. All in all, I got the following benefits:

1. Lost ~17lbs switching from aluminum to nylon
2. Gained expansion capability with port work (both intakes are portable, but who has a porting program for the Typhoon like Mamo's 102 program?)
3. Increased opening from 92mm (tb) to 102mm
4. LS6 PCV conversion at the same time
5. Heat sink is not an argument here

But now I don't have to think about heat sink Like I said, if I hadn't got a killer deal on the combo, I wouldn't have done it.

For the price of $350, you can worry about it by buying my Typhoon!

With the coolant crossover, I just bent mine out of the way. GENTLY. No kinks and clears fine.

When I ran into the tube, I came back to this thread to see what was done about it. I did a combination of cutting out the center section and bending the DS of the pipe forward to clear, per your comments. Again, thanks for starting this thread and documenting your work, it helped a lot!

^ Not a problem. As long as it helps people, we can throw as much of our info as we can find in here.

I noticed a HUGE increase in throttle response with the whole setup. Just pulls so much nicer!

I just took my 383 for the first drive since the swap from a 96 Typhoon with a 92 FAST tb to a 102/102 combo. First thing, the car wanted to die/idle at 2000rpm everytime I put the clutch in but once it got warmed up, I felt it just wanted to idle high instead of dying at every stop light. I realize this is obviously a bad thing that my car doesn't want to drive, but it certainly made me think that the swap must have been worth something because it doesn't want to live on the Typhoon tune anymore

Cruising was fine, but who buys a FAST to cruise smoothly? I got it to an entrance ramp and rolled into second. Now I'm not on anything fancier than 275 street tires, but the car didn't used to break the wheels loose at 3000rpm in second I let it catch traction so I could really feel the pull, and my butt dyno said the 2nd-3rd pull was significantly smoother at the top end.

O.N. may not be satisfied, but I can definitely say this thing fit much better than my Typhoon and the feel has completely changed on the top end. I'm tapped on finances and everyone in my area wants $450+ for a tune, so I'll likely just get a Frost tune next month. Which unfortunately means no back-to-back data for Typhoon vs FAST but I can't do anything when the tuning shops say they "don't care about the numbers between a Typhoon and FAST..." If I get it dyno'd anytime soon, I'll post back here

Cleaned up O.N.'s posts, he found out that it was his heads and not the FAST intake causing his issues. No reason to muddy the watters with bad information.

Where is the post that someone made the SVO 42 ford injectors fit without using the spacers.

The intake wasnt designed to work with the fat injectors, but people have made slight modification to make them fit. Do it at your own risk.

Would these be considered the "fat style" injector that will NOT work with the 102?

lol of course. So now my tuner is telling me that he has seen these injectors work first hand with the 102. Anyone know how this is possible?

Ok cool is there any modification needed to make them fit? Also where can I get some new o-rings for the injectors?

Got my fast 102/102 kit today and just wondering if it's just mine or do all there manifold kits come without throttle body and manifold seals? Do these need to be purchased separately?
