ok what am i forgetting here...
here is what i have done to my car:
stock ls1 with 243 heads, milled .030
custom grind cam, .617 .610 224 231 or something like that.
long tubes with ory running dual cutouts
ls6 intake
ported t/b
short belt to eliminate ps
sux2bu ram air
dyno tune
4000 stall
373 gears
torque arm
lower control arms
drag radials
weight reduction:
!egr
!air
!front bumper support
!wiper washer tank and pump
!sway bar and brackets
!rear seats
!rf seat
!radio and speakers
!spare and jack
ok my previous best 11.545 @ 115.78 mph and cutting 1.578 60'
those runs were before my 243 heads, sux2bu setup (previously had slp version of ftra) also just got ws6 hood which is about 18-19 lbs lighter than my steel hood.
he ran 11.37 cutting 1.5x 60's as well, but that was a h/c ls1 which is now gone.
so... let me know what i am forgetting in the way of bolt ons or weight reduction. thanks in advance!
-AIR system (depends on the year)
-Take the carpet out and strip all the sound deadening material out from under it = 20lbs
-Plastic in the back can go depending on what you're ok with.
I was on a weight reduction thing a while ago...
Can you swing for a better intake? Retune since recent mods? Bigger injectors? 39 or 42#. TR6 plugs? The LS3 is a beast, especially in a 4th gen (4th gen? Buddy's car).. You're gonna have to strip a bit out to run him down depending on what else he has done.

keep em coming... im going to need it to beat a cammed ls3
btw his car is a 2002 camaro
I think that will make a HUGE difference.. I know that's why i got so addicted to it. = Free speed. Just made the car almost undriveable after a while for longer trips. Got tired of the noise after I reached almost 3300lbs. -Never weighed without the dual 12 box in the trunk and HEAVY 18" chrome wheels. Never cleaned it out either (CD's trash bag, duster and crap in the back pass seats)... Was/is 3416 in "street trim" as I called it. Trending Topics
