Default Will this work to quiet my car a bit?

I currently have TSP 220/220 cam with PRC LS6 heads stg 2.5, FAST 92/92, and ARH 1 7/8" headers, with cats and SLP powerflo catback. It is a bit too loud and pretty sure it is over 95 decibels, can I take something and just temporarily clamp it over one of the tail pipe exits to quiet it down?

Honestly I doubt that it would quiet it down at all because it would still need to get the same amount of exhaust out of the car to run the car. Is the slp powerflo catback the same as the loudmouth catback? or does it has a muffler?

Try a magnaflow cutback? Heard they are pretty quiet. have seen people do custom true Duals with race bullets then into mufflers...

Are you running the lm1 resonator on there or the lm2,I know the powerflo comes with a lm2 but maybe you just bought the 2 tip mufflers,?

^ that's a good option, but I'm a big fan of the powerflo,I think its the most over looked exhaust, maybe try swapin the lm2 out for something that's a lil more quite,or always can go the magnaflow catback route,

Put a Magnaflow 4" diameter 3" in/out bullet muffler(pt# 14419) in the I-pipe, that will quiet it down a little bit.

There's a set of headers for sale in the classifieds that has these removable mufflers, they look like an ice cream cone made of holy metal that goes inside your headers collector, he said it made his car alot quieter. Maybe you can buy these pieces seperate.

FYI, my suggestion won't hurt the flow and will fit without any clearance issues.
