I have TD's, basiclly straight pipes for mufflers. Mine sounds nice, very loud at WOT...but, everyone I know with a flowmaster is louder and raunchier. So it could just be the design.

So what about a stock internal LS1? I'd like mine a lot louder.. Honesly, my LT1s sounded way better than my LS does.

Yeah pull the cats, also a cam will make it a lot louder,if ya wanted really loud throw some lm1 resonators on there,I personally think sweetthunders sound the best on our cars, cats are for sure holding the sound back, how loud are you wanting it to be ?and I know what str8 pipes sounds like on these cars.( sounds like ***)imo,

Well do you want to be loud or sound good? Straight pipes sounds like ****.

Want it louder? Dump it before the axle, get a cam, lose the cats. You won't be able to hold a conversation under throttle.

The main difference between you and your boy are the cats. Yank those and your TD setup will sound way better than his ory straight pipe

I would start with removing the cars. When I went from LT's with a catted Y to the same LT's and same catback with an ORY it was a drastic difference IMO. Of course with the ORY I got additional rasp, but the shier volume increased a good 30% I would say maybe more.

Took my buddy for a ride in my car. 230 cam, TSP duals w/bullets dumped.. i was talking to him and he was like " I cant hear you..you gotta text me"..

But i love the sound of my duals with bullets. Its just about the loudest i would want it before it becomes a headache. It is pretty loud, but not overboard. If you want ***** loud go with Longtubes/ORY/Loudmouth!!

Not a fan of the way that setup sounds at all, too high pitched and raspy

Definitely agreed Thunderstruck.. loud and raspy as hell.. that is the loudest setup i have ran. It is waaay louder than my duals IMO.
