Default vindicator vs raptr

well i was planning on doinga full bolt on build using as cast 220s, 102 fast, full exhaust, and everything else. Now i was leaning towards the vindicator, because vengeance is about two hrs from my house and i could save on shipping by buying all my stuff from them. but i think the raptr is slightly better, because it peaks and stays there for about 300 rpms. also because it peaks about 6500-6600, making a good shift point at 6800, making it perfect for my setup. the vindicator peaks roughly 6800-6900, so i would shift at the peak which isnt necessarily bad, but i would rather have my cam peak where the raptr does. also i heard overall, that the raptr sees a few peak hp numbers less, but is slightly better all along the curve. what do you guys think?

What is the cars goal?and what are you gonna do with it?what gears are you running also?not sure of the size of the vin, but I assume its a bigger cam,I run a ms4 in my car I love it but I drive my car once a week if that,I wouldn't DD it,not that I couldnt but its not a cam I would say is a good DD,shipping isn't that much man, thunder is a great shop but I would have Pat G spec you a cam,its kind of hard to tell ya what cam when they are worlds apart

no dont worry my setup is all figured out and taken care of. But i wanted to get all of my motor parts from one vendor, preferably vengeance becasue of shipping for heads, cam, valvetrain, intake, exhaust is all goona be pricy. Both cams have good driveability but heard the raptr is a hair better

I have the RapTr, and I really enjoy it. Sorry, but I don't have any numbers for you. It has good driveability, but I also have a good tuner. (That's where it's at)

Yeah thats fine and all but how are we supposed to give you advice unless you tell us all the details?

Spending the kind of money you are talking about and then basing your final decisions on shipping costs is just plain silly IMO.

It helps to post specs of each cam in your original post bc honestly nobody feels like going and digging for them, and we may not know them right off the top of our head.

Ur right im sry. vindicator is 240/244 112 LSA .608 .596. Raptr is 236/242 .615 .615 111lsa. Both similar cams, but the raptr seems a hair more suitable. Lol im just getting tired of always havin to ist my potential mod list. But i no its neleded for best advice. As cast 220s milled to 60 cc, fast 102 nick williams 102, ftra lid and induction, strange s60, m6, 3.73s, ls7 lifters, stock bottum end rebuilt, arp bolts, powerbond pulley, trunion rockers, bigger clutch. i beleive both cams r streetable and can be used w my application. Just think the raptr is a hair more streetable with better midrange and hair less top end.

O and no cats and tsp long tubes

Check out the most recent addition of GMHTP magazine. They tested our Vindicator on a stock headed LS1 against several other grinds. Results were very positive and the graphs are printed in the article.

If we can help you out feel free to give us a call. We would be happy to spec a custom camshaft at no additional cost to you to allow you to achieve your goals.

No, I wasn't considering the vindicator. I wanted to run the Trex, but it didn't work out for me. So I ended up going with the RapTr.

How sure are you about these numbers being correct on your exact application? MS3 which is high 230s/low 240s I think only peaks at 6300/6400.
