thats how the throttlebody is built..alot of guys and aftermarket manufacturers grind about an eight of an inch (where that metal part is that stops the assembly) down so the t/b can open 100%

What I'm sayin is my throttle doesn't even touch that little stopper it's basically full throttle with and half an inch left to really be full throttle and touch that stopper

^ Yeah, it should touch the "stopper." If you rock the TB open all the way, look where it hits, or should.

You can kind of see it here.

Your TB when closed should rotate up 90 deg. to be @ 100% open.

Adjust your throttle cable until it is actually hitting the stop. There is an adjustment in the middle of the cable between the TB and the firewall.

Do this.

Ignore the fools telling you to mess with the throttle stop.

Speaking of fools. Take a long hard look in the mirror and then punch yourself.

All OEM LS1 TB's only opened roughly 75% from the factory. Delete the bump stop delete like mentioned and you are good to go. Don't listen to that dipshit marc.

It would be a waste of time for him since his TB is currently not touching the bump stop with the pedal on the floor. How is grinding down the stop going to change anything if it isn't even touching it?

It sounds to me like the cable needs to be adjusted and then you can do the bump stop mod if you want to.

I failed to see that he had mentioned it didn't touch, so with that said the cable obviously needs to be addressed. You guys act like doing the bump stop mod is radical or something...lmao

and if he even still wants 100% throttle he will need to grind that bumpstop down after he adresses his cable slack.
