Underdrive pulley or SSRA?
I've got a 200 dollar visa gift card i need to get rid of.
Which one would be the better choice? If i got the SSRA would it fit with an external trans cooler? I know they pretty much give you the same power to the rear wheels. I just want to know what other peoples reasons are and what the numbers you gained from each were. I guess if i had a third choice maybe the electric cutout from Speed Inc? In that case my exhaust is FLP longtubes into their catted y and a TSP rumbler catback.
P.S. Yes I have searched. I probably should have just picked one already but I can't make up my mind.

You will see larger gains at the track with the SSRA. Wont pick up much, if any, on the dyno. However it will not fit if you already have a external tranny cooler in front of the radiator.

well the part about it not being used with a tranny cooler bothers me. Any way around this. I've had a bad past with my 4l60e and i wanna give this performabuilt a fighting chance if I can. Any different way you can mount the cooler? And ill be buying the one for cars with A/C if that will make a difference, its a street car not a racecar =(

Doesnt work nearly as good dope style, theres been multiple users that have reported this, if you do decide to run it dope style id get one with a fan to have air moving during traffic.

There are a few good threads in the auto trans section in reguards to a cai and trans cooler fitment.

There are a few pics in sen's install thread. Also search his name, he has played around with his ssra and a few different types of trans coolers over the past few months.

WADR gonna disagree here.
I noticed more throttle response and faster revs from my pulley install.
+2 for driveability in this case.
Everyone forgets the price of belts. I think i spent 40 bucks on gatorbacks.

You will lose some cooling capacity by mounting it this way. The air will tend to deflect off the fins rather than pass through like it is designed.
