Cool Want to put something in the I-pipe. suggestions?

I currently have pacesetter lt's, ory and hooker catback. I like the mellow sound. I used to have a cut out, then a borla, and I honestly dont like it being so damn loud

So im putting heads/cam on my car, so I know its going to be a bit louder, and I leave for work at 6am in a neighborhood. So for the sake of my neighbors and my own eardrums I want to add something to the I-pipe to mellow out the sound even more.

What is the most effective muffler that would fit on my I-pipe?

I looked at strait through ones like the dynomax bullet, will that even do anything?

My car is lowered 1.5" so I dont think a chambered muff would fit under there, is that a false assumption?

Whats the quietest "bullet" style muffler? or could i fit something else in the i pipe?

Thanks!

Whether the car is lowered or not, a chambered muffler should fit with no issues in the I-Pipe. I doubt they sit any lower then SLP's Loudmouth mufflers.

I vote for a borla muff, they always sound incredible....no clue how it would sound with the hooker catback. I thought the hooker was super quiet??

I have the same setup. The Hooker is pretty quiet with heads and cam. The initial startup at 6:00am will still make babies cry, but be pretty quiet once the idle stabilizes. Overall I'm happy with this setup except for the rasp with the cutout partially open. You probably just want a bullet in the I-pipe or a catted Y.
It won't get much quieter than that.

Just did a 20" powerstick in mine. I'm running heads, cam, longtubes, catted Y, into a Borla. I too woke the baby and it was just too loud. The powerstick toned things down considerably while at the same time improving the sound. Cut out alot of rasp and provides a deeper tone.

Put a Magnaflow #14419 in there, it'll fit without any issue, and tone it down a little bit without restricting the flow; around $78..

Thanks guys! They all looked like good options but I went ahead and ordered the medium 3" power stick.

Ha thanks I did read that. I will. Im probably just going to put it in with band clamps until I can get it welded anyway.

I'm still kind of torn between an xr1 and a powerstick in my LM1. Detoxx's car sounded awesome so I'm leaning toward the Borlamouth.

Band clamps = "Flexi-flier". That might work for a little while. Seems like some on here are mounted kinda solid. Remember guys, exhaust should never be solidly mounted. Always by flexible and/or rubber. [Right now, mine's hung with dog chains. And no, my dog chains are not a suggested workaround, just what I had in hand at the time.]
