Talking EGR question

I'm replacing my exhaust manifolds on my 98 Z28 with manifolds from a 2000 and the tube that goes from the EGR valve to the passenger side exhaust manifold is different, can I just cut the tube and insert some type of rubber hose or will this be a Problem? Thanx for any Help.

y did u switch the manifolds to 2000 instead of 01-02 years? 98 to 00 are all pretty much the same. the 01 02 manifolds are the good ones.

I'm replacing my cats with the newer style and the 98-99 manifolds won't adapt to the newer cats. I still need the EGR that is not on the 01-02.

ok i was just curious. was not sure if you were doing it for a performance upgrade. thats y i mentioned the 01-02 years. before cutting it off try to heat the tube and twist it a tad to be able to bolt it to the manifold.
