Dart Heads? I gotta question about Dart Heads for an LS1. Has anybody had any good luck with them or any feed back at all. Im in the process of building my motor and was approached by a local shop that is trying to sell my a set.

The 225's are generally better than the 205's but you won't find much love for an unported set on here. I have seen a a ported 225 set make 465+ M6 with an upper 230's cam but never saw track times...
i have a set of 225's ported and love them. you get alot of mixed thoughts of them. People have told me they are robbing power but my the guy that does my tuning said they are perfect.
Hell no. show me where dart heads are great and how many people are making great power and times with them.. Use a proven head time and time again. a head or heads that perform at the track and make power. A head that gives you your moneys worth. AFR and TRICK FLOW are the top heads on the market. I have had both and both gave me my money's worth over the budget heads i have also had. Each time i removed another head for them they gained where i wanted.
my boys 383ci makes 505hp with trickflow 215 head on a mustang dyno. My ls1 made 463hp on a stang dyno and ran close to 10's n/a with a little 205 afr head and the combo had a un touched intake 12bolt and a steel drive shaft.

225's came on the car I bought last year. I have read up on them and they may not have been my first choice but here is what Alan Futral says of them from some email chatter I had with him;
"They dont have outstanding flow numbers but put down awesome power"
I have admittedly not been to the track (too affraid of breaking the rear) but the previous owner did 12.01 at 121mph. Car is putting down 430+ to the wheels with f14HL cam. Just need a good launch to get into the 11's. They seem to be good budget choice to me.
